About the Author
Amy Smart
Amy Smart grew up in Port Elgin, Ontario, Canada.. She loved going to the library every weekend and started writing her own short stories when she was 6 years old! Some of her favourite books growing up included The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis and The Warriors Series by Erin Hunter. She wrote the first draft of The Necklace when she was in ninth grade. A gift from a family friend inspired her to write Vanessa's story.
In her adult years (so far) Amy has moved to southern Saskatchewan and attended Briercrest College and Seminary from 2011-2015. She has had various jobs working with children, working with animals, and teaching English and Creative Writing online. She published The Necklace and A Whisper in the Shadows through Amazon KDP in March and May of 2024. She hopes to write more stories in the future--more Middle Grade Fantasy and a possible venture into YA Fantasy!
Amy lives with her two cats Louie and Stormy, who provide moral support as she works on her stories.
